Sandra K. Arndt Miller
BLOOMINGTON — Sandra K. Miller, 69, Pflugerville, Texas, formerly of Bloomington, died Tuesday (July 24, 2012) at Cornerstone Hospital in Austin, Texas.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomington. The Rev. Christopher Nitzel will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the American Diabetes Association.
She was born Dec. 1, 1942, in Normal, the daughter of Wilbur and Lisleen Rudolphsen Arndt. She married Kenneth A. Miller on April 10, 1960. He preceded her in death Oct. 19, 2005.
She attended Bloomington High School and returned to school to complete her licensed vocational nursing degree in 1991.
She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Austin, Texas. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and spending time with grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Willis Duwayne Arndt.
Survivors include three sons, Jeff (Lisa) Miller and Todd (Laura) Miller, both of Bloomington; and Kory (Jana) Miller, Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Stephanie (Greg Jenkins) Miller, Pflugerville, Texas; eight grandchildren; three brothers, William (Sue) Arndt, Mattoon; Malter (Sharon) Arndt, Washington; and Charles (Patti) Arndt, Austin, Texas; one sister, Kimberly (John) Filter, Bloomington; three sisters-in-law, Esther Miller Reeves and Edith Miller Sullivan, both of Bloomington; and Clare Miller Harvey, El Paso; one brother-in-law, Glenn Miller, Rochester, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
