BLOOMINGTON — Stephen Ferguson, 69, Newburgh, Ind., passed away Tuesday (Sept. 4, 2012) at VNA Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, Ind.

His funeral will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Alexander East Chapel, Evansville, Ind., officiated by the Rev. Delbert Bryant, with burial in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington, at a later date. Friends may visit Saturday from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

He was born Sept. 23, 1942, in Bloomington, son of the late Russell and Anna Belle (Holman) Ferguson.

Steve had worked for Capital Heating & Cooling and retired in 2004 as district manager for Pameco Heating & Air. He loved hunting, fishing and automobile racing and owned a drag race car with his son. He never found something he could not fix and never met a stranger.

Stephen is survived by his son, Russ Ferguson; brother, William (Chris) Ferguson; nieces, Ann (Mark) Clements and Beth (Jason) Southerland; nephews, Bill (Chris) and Steve Ferguson; great-nephew, Zack Southerland; and many other great-nieces and great-nephews.
