Just to let you know, I no longer live in CT.  We moved to Naples, FL in November 2010 and absolutely love it.  After 49 years living in CT, we could no longer deal with the snow and cold in the Northeast.

Denny is doing great after his pacemaker and tracheotomy were put in place.  He is back playing his trombone and singing in a barbershop chorus. I am taking some classes at Hodges University in a program called Center for Lifelong Learning.  I think I am busier now that when I was working!

We plan to be in Bloomington in October (9-17), 2012 for Denny's Wesleyan's Homecoming.  It has been 50 years since he graduated from there and they are having a big "do" at the university.

Hi Rose,
Happy New Year. Mine all started with a problem back in April. Noticed I couldn't see well out of right eye. They found I had a tear near the optic nerve. They repaired and I spent a week face down in bed and then it was a month before I regained my sight. My doctor told me the cataract would get going like it had been fertilized -- It did - right in the center of the eye. Had to put up with it till Dec. for it to get "ripe" because of the surgery. My doctor told me to not go for the "Cadillac" version of the lenses offered but do only the basic. Lots of people had trouble with the near/far lenses. Having worn contacts most of my life, I was aware of it. Both eyes went well and I have 20/20 but do need a 1.25 reading glasses for the newspaper. Computer and all else is fantastic. I admit the eye problems did slow me down some.
Off to California next month for a change. Weather here has been wonderful. And the antique business is booming. I do check weekly our web site. Always hate to see we have lost another. I will say a little prayer you get your eyes up to par. You don't know what you're missing till you can't see properly. We always just take it for granted. Keep in touch. I wil!

Love to all,
Morey Barekman
