MINIER — Allan W. Devine, 77, of Minier, passed away Thursday (Oct. 3, 2019) at OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

Allan was born May 23, 1942, in Bloomington to Bernard and Virginia King Devine. He married Judy Soss. She preceded him in death. Also preceding Allan in death were his father; one sister, Sandra Kay; and one stepbrother.

Allan is survived by his mother, Virginia of Bloomington; one sister, Linda (Mike) Roberts of Downs; one nephew, Tony (Elizabeth) Cook of Missouri; one great-nephew, Ben Cook of Missouri; one stepsister; two stepbrothers; two cousins; and lifelong friends, Norman Erlich and Robert Cremeens.

Allan was a Vietnam Army veteran. He had worked at WM Putman Company in Bloomington over 30 years. He was a faithful and active member of Minier Christian Church. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing dominoes and euchre. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Minier Christian Church. The Rev. Rusty Roberts will officiate. Burial will follow services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bloomington. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Christian church. Haensel Funeral Home in Minier is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to his church or Humane Society of Central Illinois
