WINTER HAVEN - It is with great sadness that the family of Carol Ann Ingram, 73, announces her sudden passing on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. She passed away peacefully at her residence with her guardian dog, Gator, by her side in Auburndale.
Carol was born on June 29, 1942 in Bloomington, IL, to Roland and Margaret Keiser. At the young age of 2, she became a war orphan as her father died in the Battle of the Bulge in WWII. She later moved to the Winter Haven area when she was 18 to work at the new State Farm office. Carol was, first and foremost, a mother and grandmother as family was her primary joy in life. Through the course of her years, Carol used her many talents as an artist and textile designer for Sulky of America and a co-owner and manager of Ingram Construction with her second husband. She was an accomplished artist, winning several awards at various fine art shows over the years and was a member of the Ridge Art Association. In her spare time, she enjoyed fellowship with her dear friends at the Fishhawk Mountain Ladies Knit Night. She was a practicing Baptist and loved Christ as her savior. She was Memaw to all of her beloved grandkids.
Carol is survived by 3 daughters and 3 sons-in-law, Natalie and Jerry Albritton of Auburndale, FL, Nicole and Guy Taylor, Jr. of Auburndale, FL, and Michelle and Jeffery Childers of Gainesville, FL; 2 brothers, William Keiser and wife Julienne of Montana, and James Ronald Burt of Ft. Meade, FL; 17 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven with Pastor Neal Dyer of Highland Park Church of the Nazarene officiating.
