Sandra W. Stringfield, 40, of 1700 N. School St., Normal, died at 4:45 a.m. yesterday (April 28, 1983) at Brokaw Hospital. She had been ill.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Four Square Gospel Church, the Rev. Helen Harvey officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at the church.

Kibler-Smith Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Nov. 13, 1942, at Detroit, Mich., a daughter of Harman and Ester Mae Moise Alvis. She married Leslie Snow Jr. She later married Carl K. Stringfield May 16, 1971. He survives.

Also are surviving are a son, James C. Snow, 107 Mobile-Land Court, Bloomington; three daughters, Lesley A. Snow Crossland, Peoria; and Esther B. Stringfield and Kinsey A. Stringfield, both at home; a sister, Naomie J. Sutton, Bloomington; and a grand-daughter.

She was preceded in death by per parents.

Mrs. Stringfield was employed at The Eureka Co., Bloomington and later as office manager at Streids Rest and Motel.

She was a member of Four Square Gospel Church.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Sandy was a beautiful, intelligent girl. I recall spending hours studying for history tests. Sandy could ace the exams and never crack a book.
